Beyond the kitchen

We're on a mission to offer products with simple, healthful ingredients that are good for people and planet. We donate a portion of our proceeds to organizations supporting the environment and cultural preservation.

Dr. Rosita Arvigo's Rainforest School

As a small company we have made donations to Dr. Rosita Arvigo's rainforest school, which serves a critical role in teaching children in Belize about the useful plants in their local area - a role that is decreasing as the elder curanderas and shamans pass away. Rosita apprenticed with Don Elijio, a shaman, and has devoted her life to herbal education and preservation of rainforest medicine knowledge.

About Zazi Natural Foods

Founder - Dr. Philippa Norman

As Ayurvedic Practitioner, I love to think about the guna, or qualities of food. When food is made with love from pure ingredients, it is said to have sattvic, or pure quality that promotes well-being and balance. You have probably felt this when you sat down to a meal that was prepared for you with love, or ate a perfectly sun-ripened fruit from a tree or fresh hand-picked veggies that go straight to your table.

In Ayurveda, certain foods are considered sattvic, and ghee is one of them. We create nourishing spice combinations and source our ingredients with so much care and consideration of our impact on the planet. We then prepare each jar with your well being in mind. We hope you enjoy!
