Transform your tempeh with maple syrup, tamari and ghee to make a delicious breakfast protein, or stack your veggie BLT.
Ingredients
- 1 package of plain tempeh, sliced thinly
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 2 - 3 Tbs tamari sauce
- 1 Tbs ghee
Directions
- Melt ghee in skillet
- Add tempeh slices to pan, and spoon or brush the melted ghee over the slices until completely coated.
- Pour maple syrup and tamari over the tempeh slices.
- Cook for 5 - 10 minutes until the maple syrup and tamari are slightly reduced and thickened.
- Turn the slices over and cook 5-10 minutes more until the maple and tamari have carmelized.
